DOT Physical Exam

DOT physicals (Department of Transportation physicals) are required by the Department of Transportation for all commercially licensed drivers.

This mandatory examination is required to ensure that the driver is mentally, physically and emotionally fit to safely operate a vehicle.

DOT physical follows strict guidelines mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and can only be conducted by a FMCSA designated doctor.

What to Expect:

  1. Comprehensive medical exam with discussion of your medical history and medications
  2. Vision Exam 
  3. Hearing Exam
  4. Blood pressure evaluation 
  5. Complete urine exam including PH, specific gravity, proteins, sugar, and blood.
  6. Remember, if you are diabetic, you may still pass your DOT exam.

Drug Test is not required for DOT exam but available at our location for additional pricing.

  • The exam typically takes 30-45min to complete.
  • You will be provided with a DOT certificate and a card if you pass the exam. 
  • As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services to our valued patients, we also submit your DOT Medical Examination Certificate to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) on your behalf.
