I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to each of my patients. With 7 years of ER experience as an RN and 3 years as an FNP, I have the skills and expertise needed to deliver exceptional care for each of my patients.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, my husband, our two dogs, and our cat moved to Houston in 2016 to pursue new opportunities and immerse ourselves in this vibrant community. In May 2020, I earned my Master of Science in Nursing degree from The University of Texas at Arlington, solidifying my knowledge and skills as a nurse practitioner.
My extensive experience in the ER has given me a unique perspective and skillset that positively impacts my care delivery when treating urgent care and workers’ compensation patients. I’m comfortable with high-pressure situations, allowing me to stay focused and deliver the highest quality of care to patients in need. My ability to diagnose quickly and accurately and to treat a wide range of acute medical conditions is critical in the urgent care setting, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and care.
In occupational medicine, my experience in the ER is particularly valuable. Workplace injuries can be complex, and it’s crucial to have a nuanced understanding of both medical treatment and workers’ compensation laws. My experience as an emergency nurse gives me the necessary expertise to provide comprehensive care that addresses both the immediate medical needs of my patients and their long-term recovery and legal rights.
